Job Summary

Responsible for specialized warehouse tasks in loading, unloading, order pulling, shipping, returns, forklift operation, fabrication, counter tasks and delivering products (when needed) to customers. Operates a company vehicle between 10,001 and 26,001 GVW, with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR). May also act as emergency driver when needed.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities

• Complete tasks such as loading, unloading, sorting, picking, stocking, staging, fabrication, and transportation of goods. May be required to carry heavy merchandise up and down stairs using body straps and/or dolly for items weighing 50–300 pounds.


• Check items against purchase orders and packing slips and report shortages, damages, and other discrepancies.


• File orders for delivery; place supplies and equipment in proper storage.


• Operate forklift or other machinery to complete tasks.


• Drive company vehicles to pick up stock or deliver materials, occasionally serve as an emergency driver (Non‑CDL).


• Perform required inspection of vehicle and supplies to ensure road safety.


• Prepare and maintain records in accordance with company policies and procedures.


• Perform other duties as assigned.

Nature and Scope

• Select correct processes from prescribed rules, past practices, or instruction. Seek advice in non‑routine areas from supervisor. Deviations required supervisor clearance.


• Under close supervision, exercise limited independent judgment; work typically involves detailed checks or close review by senior coworker or supervisor.

Work Environment

• Typically located in a comfortable environment but exposed to temperature extremes, moving machinery, loud noises, and fumes, creating moderate risk of accident or illness.


• Requires intermittent periods of continuous physical exertion such as walking, standing, stooping, climbing, lifting, and maneuvering heavy or awkward material (50+ pounds).


• Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED strongly preferred. 0–2 years of experience in the area of responsibility.

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license from state of residence.


• Knowledge of warehouse procedures, requisitions, purchase orders, invoices, and delivery documents.

Pay Range

$17.75–$23.00 per hour (Illinois law requires posting of salary range for advertised jobs).
