Job summary

Qualifications

• CDL class B or CLP with no automatic restriction (per CDL rule)
• Valid MVR per hiring standards and DOT 391 compliance
• Ability to count, read route schedules, and perform basic math
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds and work extended periods
• Ability to work independently or in a team and follow instructions

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks and perform safe driving practices
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain equipment
• Handle freight with forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks
• Secure freight inside trailers using pallets, straps and rope
• Document and report required information accurately
• Collect freight charges and manage related paperwork
• Comply with hazmat regulations and DOT placarding
• Coordinate with Dispatch on delays and trips
• Provide customer service and seek additional business opportunities
• Perform other duties as required
