Job description

General Responsibilities:

• Drives company vehicle to transport and load/unload orders to/from customers.
• Assist in receiving and shipping stock and non-stock items for ensuring quantity, quality and adherence to specifications.
• Keeps warehouse, office and outside area safe, organized and clean.
• Performs daily vehicle as well as equipment inspections to ensure safe and continuous operation.
• Assists in performing physical inventories of the warehouse.
• Ensure that all health and safety guidelines are followed and inform manager of any potentially hazardous conditions.
• Interact with customers in a manner that encourages repeat business.
• Pack and ship merchandise as required.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license, proof of automobile insurance and a good driving record that is acceptable to our insurance carrier (not “high risk” or worse).
• Prior driving/warehouse experience (min 2 years).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of FedEx/UPS/USPS shipping methods.
• Excellent organization and communication skills with a passion for learning.
• Basic working knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
• Ability to stand, walk, use hands and arms to lift objects up to 50 pounds. Must be able to safely tolerate the heat in the summer.
• Must be able to speak and read the English language.
