Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Verify deliveries against invoices and obtain signatures.
  • Communicate delivery status and delays with cross-functional teams.
  • Inspect straps and ratchets for serviceability.
  • Operate forklift to load and unload equipment.
  • Comply with federal and local transportation regulations.
  • Maintain pickup and delivery records.
  • Fuel, DEF, and oil vehicle as required.
  • Attend background check and drug testing as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Details Job Location: Bloomfield, CT 06002 Position Type: Full Time Job Shift: Any Job Category: Non DOT - Safety Sensitive Position

SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of aircraft parts, components, and equipment between the Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) facility, vendors, and other designated locations. This role is essential for ensuring efficient aircraft maintenance operations by providing necessary parts and equipment when and where they're needed.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Safely operate company vehicles (vans, trucks, etc.) to transport aircraft parts and equipment, including potentially large and sensitive items.
  • Ensure proper loading, securing, and unloading of parts to prevent damage during transit.
  • Verify accuracy of parts deliveries against invoices and other documentation, obtaining appropriate signatures and noting discrepancies.
  • Communicate with cross functional teams internally and other personnel regarding delivery status, delays, and other relevant information.
  • Inspect straps and ratchets for serviceability.
  • Operate Forklift to load and unload equipment.
  • Operate vehicle in accordance with federal and local regulations.
  • Operate vehicle within the customer facilities including inside the SIDA area.
  • Accurately document the pick- up and delivery of material on receipt books and turn in to meet customer needs and delivery times.
  • Service the vehicle with Fuel, DEF and Oil as required.
  • Inspect and operate company and customer forklift in accordance with OSHA and company procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • High school diploma or equivalent GED
  • 1-2 years of relevant/technical work experience.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Must be able to pass a DOT Physical.
  • Ability to obtain airport (SIDA) security access.
  • Clean Driving Record.
  • Ability to exercise good judgement.
  • Keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions Ability to Walk, Sit, Stand, Drive, operate ratchet straps and carry heavy items for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of the following regulations: DOT, Driving Laws, and OSHA.
  • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels. Initiate meetings as required.
  • Basic Mechanical knowledge as required to operate a truck and trailer, Check oil, Fuel, Transmission fluid.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
  • Strong Time Management skills.
  • 2+ years of driving experience
