Job summary

National DCP, LLC is seeking a Class A CDL driver to operate tractor trailers in Westampton, NJ, delivering to Dunkin’ franchise stores and production kitchens. You will perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections, manage delivery paperwork, and unload using pallet jacks in a fast-paced, outdoor environment.

The position offers competitive hourly pay ($39.94/hour) with top earners over $90k/year, full benefits, and 100% touch freight.

Qualifications

  • Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record; 6 months experience min, 1 year preferred in food and beverage distribution.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Current DOT Medical Certification Card and pass DOT pre-employment requirements
  • Dependable attendance and strong customer service attitude
  • IF APPLICABLE - Ability to operate a 10-speed Manual transmission
  • Ability to operate a lift gate and refrigeration unit
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English

Responsibilities

  • Operates a tractor trailer to transport product to and from specified destinations.
  • Conduct a proper pre-trip inspection to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate.
  • Ensures delivery-related paperwork is in order before departing.
  • Prepares and provides documentation for the delivery of products.
  • Unloads cargo using hand truck or pallet jack in stores safely.
  • Scans product labels and reports Shorts or damages.
  • Maintains logs per Federal, State and DOT regulations.
  • Communicates delays or problems with NDCP Member Services.
  • Maintains cleanliness of truck cab and disposal of delivery trash.
  • Performs post-trip inspection and reports maintenance issues.
  • Serves as face of NDCP and primary contact between DC and customer.
  • Trains a Delivery Assistant to ensure accurate and timely delivery

Responsibilities
  1. Operates a tractor trailer truck that transports product to and from specified destinations.
  2. Conduct a proper pre-trip inspection to ensure the vehicle is safe to operate.
  3. Ensures delivery-related paperwork is in order before departing the Distribution Center ortransportation hub.
  4. Prepares, receives and provides appropriate documentation for the delivery of products.
  5. Unloads cargo and delivers via a two-wheeler hand truck and/or pallet jack in a safe manner intostore locations.
  6. Scans all product labels during store deliveries and reports all orders with shorts or damages.
  7. Maintains proper logs of travel and product according to Federal, State and DOT regulations.
  8. Maintains contact with NDCP’s Member Services team to communicate any problems or delayswith deliveries.
  9. Ensures the cleanliness and presentation of the interior of the truck cab, as well as the removal ofdelivery-related trash at the store and production kitchen (i.e., shrink wrap, cardboard, crates andpallets).
  10. Conduct a proper post-trip inspection to ensure equipment is in good working order to minimizedelays the following day. Reports any vehicle maintenance or malfunction issues to the distributioncenter.
  11. Serves as the face of NDCP and the main point of contact between the distribution center andthe customer.
  12. Trains and leverages a Delivery Assistant, as applicable, to ensure the accurate, timely andefficient delivery of product to customer, as well as to assist in the safe maneuvering of the truckentering, exiting and parking at delivery locations.
Qualifications
  1. 1. Valid Class A CDL license with a clean driving record. 6-month driving experience minimum, 1 year preferred in the FOOD AND BEVERAGE DISTRIBUTION INDUSTRY WITH 100% TOUCH FREIGHT
  2. 2. High School Diploma or equivalent experience preferred
  3. 3. Possess a current DOT Medical Certification Card and successfully pass DOT pre-employment requirements
  4. 4. Dependable attendance and a great customer service attitude
  5. 6. IF APPLICABLE - Ability to operate a 10-speed manual transmission
  6. 7. Ability to operate a lift gate and refrigeration unit
  7. 8. Must be able to read and communicate in the English language – able to hold a conversation, understand highway traffic signs and signals, respond to official inquiries, and enter information on reports and records.
