Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in New York seeks a Driver to provide safe, caring transportation for seniors to appointments and activities. You will assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations, while maintaining focus on safety.

You’ll perform pre-trip inspections, keep vehicles clean and stocked, complete driving logs, and report any changes in resident condition, contributing to reliable, respectful care in a community setting.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED; age 21+.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification may be required.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

What You’ll Do:

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment
• Complete required driving logs and documentation
• Report resident changes in condition
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards
• Assist with activities when not driving

What We’re Looking For:

• HS Diploma/GED; age 21+
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record
• CPR certification (as required)
• Strong communication and time management skills
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices
