Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living in Prospect Heights, IL, is seeking a Driver to provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents, ensuring comfort and vehicle safety on every trip. The role emphasizes safety, communication, and compassionate service within a patient-centered environment.

You’ll perform pre-trip inspections, assist residents in and out of vehicles, and maintain logs and documentation while upholding OSHA and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma/GED required.
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification (as required).
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.

• Assist with activities when not driving.
