Job summary

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Driver in Newton, MA to provide safe, caring transportation for residents. You will assist residents in and out of vehicles, maintain safety standards, and document driving logs while supporting a positive community experience.

Requirements include a HS diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, CPR certification as needed, and the ability to stay calm in emergencies. Join a team dedicated to quality of life for seniors.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; must be 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• CPR certification (as required).
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and to destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report resident changes in condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.

Pay Range:

18.92 - 23.65
