Job summary

Counseling + Recovery Services is seeking drivers to transport clients to and from our facility for various appointments and to deliver medications to clients’ homes and satellite offices. The role includes vehicle maintenance checks and updating mileage logs.

The position requires a valid Oklahoma driver’s license with a clean driving record and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Excellent communication with staff, clients, and the public is essential.

Qualifications

  • Ability to interact professionally with clinical, administrative and support staff.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of consumer information.

Responsibilities

About the role

Drivers will transport client to and from facility for a variety of appointments, delivery medications to client’s home, transport medications to satellite offices, assist in monitoring maintenance of vehicles and assist with transporting vehicles to to service providers for repairs/maintenance.

About the role: Drivers will transport client to and from facility for a variety of appointments, delivery medications to client’s home, transport medications to satellite offices, assist in monitoring maintenance of vehicles and assist with transporting vehicles to to service providers for repairs/maintenance.

Responsibilities
  • Pick up members in morning on assigned route at such time as assigned by the Supervisor or designee.
  • Deliver members home after appointment at such time as assigned by the Supervisor or designee.
  • Deliver medications to the client’s home and other facilities as needed
  • Attend staff meetings when scheduled a minimum of one day per month
  • Maintain sufficient levels of fuel in the vans for the day's activities. Additional trips for fuel will be done as necessary
  • At all times operate the vans in a safe and prudent manner, observing all laws associated with operating a motor vehicle in order to ensure the safety and protection of the passengers and the vans
  • Complete all paperwork associated with the vans, including the mileage log in an accurate and timely manner
  • In coordination with the PPD, delivery of the vans to locations for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, upkeep and repair.
  • Conduct regular maintenance inspections weekly
  • Supports and promotes a service environment for individuals in need of behavioral health and/or co-occurring services that is recovery focused, welcoming, and attentive to the needs of individuals who may have experienced trauma in their lives.
Candidate Requirements
  • Current valid Oklahoma Operators Driver's License with at least 4 years as a licensed driver
  • Good driving record acceptable to the insurance company insuring the agency vehicles.
  • Don’t ask for anything that discriminates against personal traits such as age or sex
  • Ability to establish working relationships with clinical, administrative, and support staff in order to develop professionalism and coordination within the team.
  • Able to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with fellow employees, consumers and the public.
  • Ability to communicate clear to interact with staff, clients, administration, and the community both in person and on the telephone.
  • Ability to maintain strictest confidentiality guidelines for interactions regarding consumer information.
HIPPA

This position is permitted to locate information necessary to follow through with the position responsibilities. (i.e. looking for client phone numbers, locating adddresses.) Information should be requested through the Medical Records staff initially or under the supervision of Medical Record staff.

Physical Requirements

Must be able to move from location to location, bending, stooping, lifting up 25 pounds, communicate clear, prepare written communications, and present information to other employees. Must be able to climb stairs and assist handicapped individuals getting in and out of the vehicles.
