Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to move products to customers across its nationwide network. You will inspect vehicles, manage loads, and safely deliver to customer premises from day one.

This role offers a strong pay range, a sign-on bonus up to $10,000, and comprehensive benefits starting immediately, including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, and life insurance. Home daily and full-time schedule with overnight loads.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Read, write and understand English well enough to perform tasks and safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects before and after trips and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy during off-hour deliveries.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination with knowledge of driving regulations and safe maneuvers.
• Maintain driver log per DOT regulations and record delivery receipts and conditions.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Benefits you can count on:

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $75,000 to $105,000, depending on route sizes.
• Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000, depending on experience.
• Pay Structure: Houly, miles, stops, and cases.
• Home daily: Route schedule will vary. CDL A Delivery drivers will need to be available for overnight loads.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
