Job summary

AdventHealth in Tampa is seeking a part-time courier to support transportation of medical supplies and specimens across multiple Tampa locations. You will adhere to safety protocols, communicate with dispatch, and maintain vehicle cleanliness and records.

The role requires a valid driver's license, ability to operate sedans to small box trucks, and friendly, punctual service to staff and patients. Familiarity with Orlando area is a plus; a strong team mindset is essential.

Qualifications

• Able to read and speak English.
• Courteous, on-schedule, and follow instructions.
• Able to use scanning devices to log deliveries.

• Knowledge of Orlando and surrounding areas (preferred).

Job Description

Schedule: Part Time Thursday and Friday 12pm-8pm Saturday 12pm-5pm

Location: Various locations in Tampa, FL

• Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures during transportation.
• Communicates effectively with relevant departments to coordinate transportation needs.
• Operates transportation vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and organizational policies.
• Maintains cleanliness and proper functioning of transportation vehicles.
• Reports any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly.
• Utilizes tracking systems and devices to monitor the status of transported items.
• Follows proper procedures for the transport of hazardous materials.
• Provides excellent customer service during interactions with staff and clients.
• Completes required training and certifications for safe transportation practices.
• Transports biological specimens, medical supplies, equipment, reports, patient care records, pharmacy preparations, and related paperwork according to defined schedules or urgent requests.
• Leverages technology to communicate with internal dispatch command center
• Ensures the security and proper handling of all transported items.
• Maintains accurate and timely delivery records for all transported items.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
