Job summary

AdventHealth in Greenwood Village, CO is seeking a full-time courier to transport biological specimens, medical supplies, equipment and related paperwork on defined schedules or urgent requests.

The role requires reading and speaking English, a valid DL, and prior courier experience. You will use tracking systems, uphold safety, and maintain vehicle condition while coordinating with internal dispatch. Denver-area knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous courier experience is required.
• Driver's license is required.
• Forklift certification (FKLT) preferred.
• Knowledge of Denver and surrounding areas is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to safety protocols during transportation.
• Coordinates transportation needs with relevant departments.

Job Description:

Adheres to all safety protocols and procedures during transportation. Communicates effectively with relevant departments to coordinate transportation needs. Operates transportation vehicles in compliance with traffic laws and organizational policies. Maintains cleanliness and proper functioning of transportation vehicles. Reports any vehicle maintenance issues or incidents promptly. Other duties as assigned. Utilizes tracking systems and devices to monitor the status of transported items. Follows proper procedures for the transport of hazardous materials. Provides excellent customer service during interactions with staff and clients. Completes required training and certifications for safe transportation practices. Transports biological specimens, medical supplies, equipment, reports, patient care records, pharmacy preparations, and related paperwork according to defined schedules or urgent requests. Leverages technology to communicate with internal dispatch command center Ensures the security and proper handling of all transported items. Maintains accurate and timely delivery records for all transported items.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Ability to communicate effectively and the ability to work with people of various backgrounds. [Required]
• Self-starter that can budget his/her time and activities as needed to accomplish the task at hand. [Required]
• Ability to identify, sort items and organize the cargo to deliver it to the right place at the right time. [Required]
• Ability to read and speak English. [Required]
• Ability to be courteous, follow a schedule and instructions. [Required]
• Ability to use scanning device to help log and track all deliveries. [Required]
• Ability to use good judgment in all emergencies. [Required]
• Ability to drive all vehicles from sedan to small box trucks. [Required]
