Cano Health LLC is seeking a patient transport associate to move patients to appointments in a courteous, timely manner. The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and reliable scheduling. You will assist patients and manage wheelchair transfers while keeping vehicles clean and safe.

Flexibility in shifts and locations is required; bilingual English/Spanish is preferred, with a valid driver's license and clean driving record essential for daily operations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Up to 1 year driving experience preferred; patient transportation preferred.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish preferred.
• Clean driving record and valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of local streets and addresses.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to transport members in a safe, timely manner.
• Must be able to work flexible schedule and location.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients from origin to appointments in a courteous and timely manner.
• Pick up and return of patients as per schedule and notify changes.
• Assist patients in getting in and out of the vehicle and with wheelchair as needed.
• Ensure passenger safety and vehicle cleanliness; report incidents immediately.
• Travel to assigned clinics; follow routing system and company policies.

Job Summary

Transports patients from place of origin to the appointments in a courteous and timely manner. Position requires a high commitment to service excellence.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Pick up and return of patients as per schedule.
• Stays in contact with the office to report any change in schedule including any patient cancellations.
• Assist patients to get in and out of the vehicle.
• Assist patients with wheelchair.
• Ensures the safety of all passengers.
• Works flexible shifts as work dictates.
• Deliveries, Holter monitors, and miscellaneous pick-ups as needed.
• Transport patient to hospital or specialist office.
• Checks and maintains van daily and ensures that it is mechanically safe and clean.
• Report any incident or accidents to the supervisor and management immediately.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Required to wear company uniform.
• Utilize phone as routing system.
• Any other duties as assigned by manager

Education & Experience

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Up to 1 year driving experience required; patient transportation preferred

• Ability to reach, lift, carry and move objects.
• Ability to walk, stand, bend, sit intermittently and occasionally climb.
• The incumbent must be able to work extended and flexible hours and weekends as needed.
• Physical demands include ability to lift up to 100 lbs.
