Job summary

Harboroaks is seeking a dedicated Transportation Specialist to safely move patients, visitors, and staff to appointments, admissions, and transfers. You will operate company vehicles, ensure seatbelts, maintain logs, and complete transportation documentation with accuracy.

Responsibilities include responding to on-call needs, keeping vehicles clean and functional, and providing empathetic, professional service while prioritizing patient safety and complaint resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid State Driver’s License required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Pick up or transports visitors or staff as needed.
• Transport patients for admissions and discharges.
• Assure that all passengers are wearing seatbelts before the vehicle is started.
• Drive company facility vehicle to pick-up supplies or equipment, as needed.
• Respond and adhere to “on call” schedule as required.
• Accurately and appropriately complete all transportation documentation.
• Maintain vehicle log(s) and report maintenance issues to appropriate facility staff.
• Ensure all company vehicles are kept clean and functional.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

Qualifications

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• Valid State Driver’s License required.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
