Job summary

Cooper Machinery Services LLC in Oklahoma City is seeking a CDL A driver to haul turbochargers and engine components across the continental U.S. with overnight travel. You will load and secure freight on flatbeds, represent Cooper on site with paperwork, and coordinate return dates for customers.

Safety and integrity are core values; you will maintain DOT logs, assist with IFTA reporting, and keep equipment in DOT-compliant condition while delivering excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL and current DOT health card.
• Clean driving record and experience securing loads on flatbeds.
• Willingness to travel overnight and comply with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver turbochargers and other components across the continental U.S. with overnight travel.
• Load and secure irregularly shaped freight on flatbed trucks and trailers.
• Represent Cooper on site: handle paperwork, coordinate return dates, and address customer requests.
• Keep DOT logs up to date and report feedback to management promptly.
• Maintain trucks and trailers to meet DOT standards and assist in basic shop tasks.

What you will do

• Pick up and deliver turbochargers and other engine and compressor components across the continental U.S., with overnight travel
• Load and secure irregularly shaped freight on flatbed trucks and trailers
• Represent Cooper on site: handle paperwork, coordinate return dates, and take care of special customer requests
• Pass customer feedback to management promptly
• Stay compliant with DOT regulations, including accurate ELD and daily logbook entries, quarterly IFTA reports, annual inspections by DOT-approved personnel, and driver physical records
• Keep your truck and trailers clean, orderly, and maintained to DOT operating standards
• Help prepare items for shipment, such as wood covers, wrapping, and building stands
• Support special projects in the shop and basic grounds upkeep as workload allows

Who you are

• Valid Class A CDL
• Current DOT health card
• Good driving record
• Experience loading and securing irregularly shaped loads on flatbed trucks or trailers
• Comfortable with over-the-road travel and overnight stays
• Safety-minded, detail-oriented, and a clear communicator
• A reliable team player with a customer service mindset, strong time management, and the adaptability to handle changing schedules
• Mechanically inclined

Preferred

• Experience hauling industrial, engine, or compressor components
• Hands-on experience with ELD systems and IFTA reporting
• Experience preparing freight for shipment (crating, wrapping, blocking, or building stands)
