Job summary

Project Renewal Inc. is seeking a Driver for City Beet Kitchens in New York. You will operate a truck/van safely, transport food and supplies, and support mission-driven catering for events and programs.

The role requires a High School Diploma, at least one year of experience delivering to psychiatrically disabled or addicted individuals, and proficiency with Microsoft Office. You will work under the Fleet Manager to ensure timely pickups and deliveries and maintain compliance with vehicle

• Ability to deliver products safely and on time.

Responsibilities

• Operates a truck/van safely and in compliance with motor vehicle laws.
• Complete assignments and route adjustments as needed to improve efficiency.
• Communicate route information to Fleet Manager regarding events or changes.

Program Description:

City Beet Kitchens is a mission-based catering company. We were established in 1995 as “Comfort Foods” and rebranded in 2015 to “City Beet Kitchens”. We cater to all organizations for all events – from galas to homeless shelters and plated sit-down meals to boxed lunches.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operates a truck/van safely and in compliance with motor vehicle laws at all times.
• Able to complete all assignments when required.
• Able to route reassignments and changes in daily schedule: accept and comply with operational changes to attain greater efficiencies.
• Able to constantly communicate information about the route to the Fleet Manager, especially events that could impact pick-up or delivery of food or completion of route schedule.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• A minimum of one year of experience working directly with psychiatrically disabled or addicted individuals
• Must be able to deliver products in a safe and timely manner to all clients.
• P roficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
