Job summary

The Malden Public Schools (MPS) is seeking a dedicated Driver to pick up and deliver product to and from all district schools in a safe, organized manner. You will operate within the Malden Public Schools district, ensuring proper loading, unloading, and documentation for each run.

Position requires a valid driver’s license, English proficiency, and at least 1 year of professional driving experience. Expect 35 hours per week with opportunities to contribute to catering setups and daily vehicle

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent.
• Certifications: Clean unblemished driver license required.
• Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies: Ability to speak and read English; 1 year driving in professional role; ability to access and communicate via email.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean and valid driver’s license.
• All maintenance of vehicle needs to be reported to management.
• Drive the vehicle into position for loading and unloading.
• Loading and unloading product in a safe and neat manner to ensure goods are correctly stowed.
• Communicate with office.
• Deliver and unload goods at required site.
• Obtain a receipt for goods delivered.
• Vehicle check must be done daily; vehicle report weekly.
• Hand in gas receipts/cards upon getting gas.
• Maintain an odometer log daily.
• Responsible for daily cleaning of vehicle.
• No other passengers allowed unless authorized by manager.
• Adhere to motor vehicle laws and district policies.
• Deliver and set up all catering.
• Perform additional duties as assigned in management.

• Must adhere to all management companies policies.
• Deliver and setip all catering.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications & Competecies :

Education:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Must complete all managementconmplanies and government required training as necessary

Certifications:

• Clean unblemished driver license required

Other Qualifications, Experience and Competencies :

• Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments.
• 1 year driving in professional role required

Work Environment :

• The work is performed primarily in the vehicle assigned to her/him.
• Work requires movement in and out of store rooms and freezers
• Exposure to extreme temperatures.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud.
