Job summary

The Ashton on Dorsey, a Sonida Senior Living community in Louisville, KY, is seeking a Driver to support residents with transportation and daily activities.

You will be responsible for safe pickup/drop-off, assisting residents in and out of vehicles, and helping with on-site activities as needed. CDL may be preferred where required, and we encourage commitment to resident safety.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license is required.
• CDL endorsement is preferred and may be required where applicable.
• Ability to bend, push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver residents to routed stops safely and on schedule.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and keep the vehicle clean and organized.
• Support Activity Director with in-house activities and event setup as needed.
• Ensure residents are protected from abuse, mistreatment and neglect; report any concerns to leadership.
• Be a positive representative of the community at all times.

Driver Responsibilities Include

• Responsible for picking up and delivering residents to the routed stops. Assists residents in and out of vehicles.
• Operates vehicles in a safe and clean fashion.
• May assist the Activity Director with in-house activities, including planning and organizing, arranging furniture, decorating, and the general setup for activity programs.
• Ensures that residents are free from abuse, mistreatment, and neglect. Reports any such instance to the Executive Director.
• Acts as a positive representative of the community at all times.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license. CDL endorsement preferred and required where necessary.
• Ability to bend, push, pull, and ER in excess of 50lbs, as necessary to perform required tasks as assigned throughout the workday
