Job summary

Oakmont of Roseville, part of Oakmont Management Group, seeks a Driver to safely operate community vehicles and supervise residents during outings. You will assist with loading residents, follow laws, inspect vehicles, and support activity staff while maintaining a safe environment.

Requirements include being at least 21, with a high school diploma or equivalent, a Class B or C license with Passenger Endorsement, and at least 2 years of transportation experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have either a Class B or Class C license with Passenger Endorsement to drive the bus.
• Prefer two years of experience driving a vehicle/van/bus transporting people.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents, and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests, including physical and TB Tests.
• Vaccination may be required per company policy and PPE guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and resident appointments.
• Assist with loading residents and belongings onto/off buses.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Perform vehicle inspections and maintain safe driving standards.
• Act as a member of the activity staff during outings and in the community.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment for staff, residents, and guests.
• Encourage teamwork and collaborative interactions with co-workers and other departments.

Pay Range: $20.00 to $22.00 per hour

The Driver is responsible for ensuring the safe driving of the community’s vehicles and supervision of the residents during community outings or trips. Additionally, they may assist in setting up and breaking down activities and events in the Community, in accordance with the company’s mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Operate community vehicles safely on outings, excursions, special activities, and personal resident appointments.
• Assist with the safe loading of residents and their belongings onto and off-of-community vehicles.
• Follow all state and federal laws when operating community vehicles.
• Comply with standards and processes for proper vehicle inspection and driving. Demonstrate safe driving in getting residents transported. Observes speed limits yet are still punctual and safe in transporting people.
• Act as a member of the activity staff when on outings/excursions and within the community.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents, and guests, following established safety standards.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
