Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking CDL-A Delivery Drivers to move, supply, and provide for America’s favorite brands. You will follow DOT rules, inspect vehicles, and unload deliveries to customer sites, keeping accuracy and safety top of mind.

We offer industry-leading pay from $65,000 to $105,000 per year, a $10,000 sign-on bonus paid over the first year, and home-daily routes with comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, life insurance, and more.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid Class A CDL (CDL-A).
• 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a proficient level.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy for off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, adhering to DOT regulations and safe driving practices.
• Maintain driver log according to DOT regulations, document delivery receipt and temperatures.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $65,000 to $105,000 depending on route sizes.
• Sign-on bonus: $10,000 paid out over your first year of service.
• Pay Structure: Hourly, Miles, Stops, and Cases.
• Home daily: Route schedule will vary. CDL-A drivers will need to be available for overnight loads.

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age
• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications
• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
