Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver to join our nationwide network. You’ll load, transport, and deliver products to customer locations while upholding safety and DOT regulations.

Drivers earn $65,000 to $105,000 annually with a potential sign-on bonus up to $10,000. Home daily on varying routes, with a comprehensive Day 1 benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer experience.
• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications.
• Must be able to read, write and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks.
• Age 21+ for eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination respecting DOT regulations and safety procedures.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT regulations.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Pay Rate: Drivers make $65,000 to $105,000 depending on route sizes .


• Sign-on bonus: Up to $10,000, paid out over your first year of service


• Home daily: Route schedule will vary. CDL-A drivers will need to be available for overnight loads


• Pay Structure: Hourly, Miles, Stops, and Cases

What you’ll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.


• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.


• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.


• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.


• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you’ll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age


• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)


• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience


• Must meet McLane’s MVR and risk rating qualifications


• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
