Job summary

Tillys in Irvine, CA seeks a Delivery Driver to support its Distribution Center operations. This role requires driving a 24 ft bobtail truck, maintaining a clean driving record, and ensuring accurate documentation for each store delivery.

You will perform vehicle checks, unload merchandise, and coordinate with stores to meet schedules while adhering to DOT and safety rules. A high school diploma and California DL are required; 1–2 years of delivery experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 3 years of valid California driver’s license required.
• Experience driving a 24 ft bobtail with air brakes.
• Clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment and manage paperwork.
• California Class C license required; able to work in high volume environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver merchandise and supplies to company stores according to schedule and standards.
• Provide excellent customer service to support potential sales.
• Ensure proper documentation is completed before leaving the DC.
• Perform daily vehicle pre-trip inspections and routine maintenance.
• Unload merchandise and fixtures; obtain signatures and file paperwork.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company safety rules.
• Accept returns from stores and route products to DC.
• Document properly and maintain designated areas for product storage.
• Address store issues promptly with lead or manager as needed.
• Report issues affecting delivery process; support special projects as scheduled.

Position Summary

Key Responsibilities

A typical day may include:

• Deliver merchandise and supplies to company stores meeting schedule and standards set by the company.
• Provide excellent customer service by assisting and supporting the store with any requirements that will benefit a potential sale.
• Assure the proper documentation is obtained before departing the Distribution Center.
• Perform a daily preventive maintenance on vehicle before departing to any job assignment.
• Delivers and unloads merchandise, supplies, and fixtures to the stores, obtaining the proper signatures and completing all required documentation.
• Performs all functions in compliance with the DOT regulations and company safety rules.
• Accepts returns from stores, completing appropriate paperwork and returns product to the Distribution Center.
• Places product in designated area with proper documentation.
• Addresses and resolves store problems as appropriate.
• Informs lead or manager of any issues that may have occurred and affected the delivery process.
• Maintains cleanliness of vehicles and report any maintenance problem to lead or manager.
• Works on special projects or events when scheduled

Qualifications

• Ability to perform all essential duties and responsibilities listed above.
• Experience in driving a 24 ft bobtail truck equipped with airbrakes.
• Must have a valid driver's license for no less than 3 years.
• Ability to use and operate all warehouse equipment.
• Must have a clean driving record with no moving violations.
• Detail oriented and organized.
• Must obtain a California Driver License (Class C).
• Ability to work in a high paced/high volume environment.
• Must have ability to work safely and maintain a safe working environment.
• Able to effectively use common office equipment.
• Ability to reprioritize projects frequently.
• Must have ability to multitask.
• Independent, self-motivated, team player.
• Able to effectively communicate with all levels of staff and management.

Education & Experience

• 3 years of Valid California Driver's License.
• High School Diploma required
• 1-2 years delivery experience preferred.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Ability to sit, stand, and operate business equipment.
• Must be able to walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl.
• Must be able to occasionally lift and move up to 70lbs.
• Typical office environment with low level noise exposure.
• Typical warehouse environment which lacks climate control.

Compensation

Hourly Range: $19- $21 Final offer will be based on experience, skills, and qualifications.

What to Expect

Schedule: Full-time role with weekday office hours; occasional evening or weekend work may be required during peak retail seasons.
Work Location: Irvine, CA - minimum of 5 days per week in-office.
