Job summary

The IRONTON AND LAWRENCE COUNTY AREA COMMUNITY (ILCAO) is seeking a Transit Driver to provide safe, reliable transportation for residents needing access to medical, grocery, and other essential services.

This role focuses on serving seniors, individuals with disabilities, and low-income residents while upholding courteous customer service and safety standards. A High School Diploma or GED, plus a valid driver's license and insurance, are required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: Two years of driving experience.
• Previous experience in public transportation, commercial driving, or customer service is a plus.
• Certifications: Valid Driver’s License and Insurance, clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Transport passengers safely and reliably within the community to appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, and essential services.
• Provide courteous service to seniors, people with disabilities, and low‑income residents.
• Maintain logs and follow safety policies.

This role provides reliable transit services for seniors, persons with disabilities, and low-income residents, supporting their mobility and independence.
