Job summary

Integral Senior Living in Pflugerville, TX is seeking a Driver to provide timely transportation for residents to activities and events. You will assist residents with boarding and exiting vehicles, secure wheelchairs, and communicate with the base to ensure safe, reliable service.

You will maintain vehicles, perform basic fueling and cleaning, help with registrations, and document vehicle condition. The role requires a high school diploma, being 21 or older, and a valid CDL may be required

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Current CDL may be required with an acceptable driving record.
• Experience in customer service environment, preferably in a senior living setting.
• Must be knowledgeable of all safety precautions and comply with safety measures.
• Competent in organization, time management skills and handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide timely and courteous transportation for residents to activities and events.
• Assist disabled passengers into and out of the vehicle.
• Secure wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize them during trips.
• Safely operate radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base or other vehicles.
• Maintain community vehicles in good working condition.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants and accessories.
• Assist with vehicle registration and license plate renewals.
• Inspect and document vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.

Driver Responsibilities

• Assists disabled passengers into and out of vehicle.
• Secures passengers' wheelchairs to restraining devices to stabilize wheelchairs during trip.
• Safely operates radio, cell phone or pager to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report disruption of service.
• Maintains all community vehicles in good working condition.
• Cleans and services vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Assists with vehicle registration and license plates renewal process.
• Inspects and documents vehicle condition on a monthly and per trip basis.
