Job summary

McLane Company, Inc. is seeking a CDL-A Delivery Driver for the 3rd shift in Hebron, KY. You will inspect tractors, manage delivery documentation, and safely transport goods to customers. A valid CDL-A and 1 year of experience are required.

We offer competitive pay from $80,000 to $90,000 with top earners up to $110,000, a sign-on bonus up to $10,000, and a 4-day work schedule. Comprehensive benefits start Day 1, including medical, dental, and vision insurance.

Qualifications

• Must have CDL-A license.
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer experience.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English sufficiently to perform job tasks.

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer before/after trips and submit DOT inspection report.
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy.
• Drive tractor-trailer to destinations following regulations and safely access customer sites.
• Maintain driver logs per DOT rules and document deliveries, temps, & exceptions.
• Unload trailer and deliver product to customer premises.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll do as a CDL-A Delivery Driver:

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition.


• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery.


• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises.


• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions.


• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises.


• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications you'll bring as a CDL-A Teammate:

• At least 21 years of age


• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)


• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience


• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications


• This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role. The requirement is directly related to the nature of the job and ensures compliance with workplace safety and operational standards.
