Job summary

McLane is hiring a CDL-A Delivery Driver in Alabama to move, supply, and deliver products for leading brands. You’ll complete DOT inspections, manage bills of lading, and drive safely to customer sites with accuracy and timeliness.

You’ll log trips per DOT rules, unload deliveries, and perform additional duties as needed. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, and commitment to customer service across our nationwide network.

Qualifications

• 21+ years old
• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 1 year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience
• Must meet McLane's MVR and risk rating qualifications
• Ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely

Responsibilities

• Inspect tractor-trailer for defects pre/post trip and submit DOT inspection report indicating condition
• Inspect bill of lading and store keys for accuracy in off-hour delivery
• Drive tractor-trailer to destination, applying knowledge of commercial driving regulations and skill in maneuvering vehicle on the road and on customer premises
• Maintain driver log (Manual or Peoplenet) according to DOT regulations, documenting delivery receipt, product temperatures and exceptions
• Unload trailer, delivering product into customer premises
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications You'll Bring As a CDL-A Teammate

• At least 21 years of age


• Valid Class A commercial driver's license (CDL-A)
