Job summary

Dial Senior Living in Elkhorn, NE is seeking a part-time Driver to provide safe transportation for residents to activities and appointments. This role requires a Class B or C CDL license (if bus is used), a clean driving record, and a friendly, service-oriented approach to residents.

Responsibilities include transporting residents, assisting with mobility, coordinating with the lifestyle team, and maintaining records for billing. Competitive benefits and shift pay accompany this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CDL Class B or C if driving a bus.
• Chauffeur’s license if state requires it.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to medical appointments and activities.
• Assist residents entering and exiting the vehicle safely.
• Ensure residents reach appointments in a timely manner.
• Assist residents with mobility aids when boarding/alighting.
• Provide high level of customer service at all times.
• Maintain appointment records and assist with monthly billing.
• Report vehicle issues and notify supervisor.
• Support lifestyle team during outings as needed.
• Report concerns about residents’ well-being to supervisor or Executive Director.
• Participate in safety drills and keep vehicle clean and organized.

Position Overview

This position provides safe transportation for residents to scheduled activities and appointments.

• Transport residents to and from medical appointments and other locations, communicating effectively with residents.
• Ensure the safety of the residents as they enter and exit the vehicle.
• Ensure that the residents get into the office/building of their appointment in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist the residents with walking aids when entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
• Maintain records of resident appointments and submit to office for monthly billing per established procedures.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical problems/deficiencies of the vehicle.
• When necessary, assist the lifestyle team with activities during outings.
• Report any concerns of the resident’s well-being to supervisor or Executive Director.
• Participate in emergency evacuation drills and help assist residents to safe areas, as needed.
• Maintain vehicle in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to resident, facility operations and personnel.
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must have Class B or C CDL license, if driving applicable bus
• Chauffer’s license, if required by state
