Dial Senior Living in Coralville, IA seeks a Driver to provide safe transportation for residents to activities and appointments. The role includes aiding mobility, maintaining safety, and delivering excellent customer service while supporting billing records and vehicle upkeep.

Requirements include a high school diploma/GED, age 21+, a clean driving record, and appropriate licenses (CDL if applicable). The role offers diverse daily duties and opportunities to support residents and the lifestyle

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Class B or C CDL license if driving a bus; chauffeur’s license if state requires it.

Responsibilities

• Transport residents to and from medical appointments and activities.
• Ensure resident safety when entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Assist residents with walking aids when entering/exiting the vehicle.
• Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
• Maintain records of resident appointments and submit for monthly billing per procedures.
• Notify supervisor of any vehicle deficiencies.
• Assist lifestyle team with outings when needed.
• Report concerns about residents’ well‑being to supervisor or ED.
• Participate in emergency evacuation drills and help residents to safe areas.

Position Overview

This position provides safe transportation for residents to scheduled activities and appointments.

• Transport residents to and from medical appointments and other locations, communicating effectively with residents.
• Ensure the safety of the residents as they enter and exit the vehicle.
• Ensure that the residents get into the office/building of their appointment in a safe and timely manner.
• Assist the residents with walking aids when entering and exiting the vehicle.
• Provide a high level of customer service at all times.
• Maintain records of resident appointments and submit to office for monthly billing per established procedures.
• Notify supervisor of any mechanical problems/deficiencies of the vehicle.
• When necessary, assist the lifestyle team with activities during outings.
• Report any concerns of the resident’s well-being to supervisor or Executive Director.
• Participate in emergency evacuation drills and help assist residents to safe areas, as needed.
• Maintain vehicle in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Report on-the-job injuries to the supervisor before the end of the work shift on the day the injury occurs.
• Maintain confidentiality of verbal and written information pertaining to resident, facility operations and personnel.
• Other duties as assigned

Education, Experience and Other Requirements

• High School diploma or GED
• Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Must have Class B or C CDL license, if driving applicable bus
• Chauffer’s license, if required by state
