Job summary

Mistras Group, Inc. in California seeks a full-time delivery and shipping associate to transport equipment to customer locations, perform pre-trip inspections, and maintain truck and compliance with safety rules. You will handle loading/unloading, assist in the shop, and support cross-departmental tasks as needed.

Qualified candidates hold a high school diploma and a valid driver’s license; forklift certification is a plus. The role offers comprehensive benefits and a competitive hourly rate.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES/ACTIVITIES

• Safely transport equipment to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner.
• Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Follow all Mistras Operational Procedures and QC Standards.
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to the equipment, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain Truck Equipment/Inventory.
• Maintain the service and appearance of truck.
• Follow delivery/pickup instructions from management.
• Perform Shipping & Receiving duties as needed.
• Assist customers within the shop with loading and unloading product and tagging incoming orders.
• Moving orders to the various departments.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Must hold a valid Driver’s License.
• Training and certification in forklift preferred.
• Must have the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have strong customer service orientation.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment and tying and chaining down equipment
• Frequent use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal/s on equipment and trucks
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 90 lbs.
• Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS

• Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
