Job summary

Mistras Group, Inc. in California, Cudahy, is seeking a full-time driver/warehouse associate responsible for safely transporting equipment to customer locations, performing pre-trip inspections and shipping/receiving duties.

You will maintain logs, inventory and equipment, and assist in loading/unloading orders with a strong safety mindset. The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, forklift training (preferred) and excellent customer service.

• Safely transport equipment to customer locations in a timely, safe and courteous manner.
• Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections.
• Follow all Mistras Operational Procedures and QC Standards.
• Adhere to all safety requirements particular to the equipment, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations
• Maintain Truck Equipment/Inventory.
• Maintain the service and appearance of truck.
• Follow delivery/pickup instructions from management.
• Perform Shipping & Receiving duties as needed.
• Assist customers within the shop with loading and unloading product and tagging incoming orders.
• Moving orders to the various departments.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Must hold a High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Training and certification in forklift preferred.

• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and coworkers.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment and tying and chaining down equipment
• Frequent use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal/s on equipment and trucks
• Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 90 lbs.
• Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

• Frequent lifting up to 30 lbs.
