Job summary

Coastal Elite Pro is seeking a professional CDL driver to haul freight between service centers and customers, supporting the sales process and ensuring timely, safe transportation.

The role requires operating tractor-trailers (including doubles/triples where applicable), performing safety inspections, and securing cargo with pallets, straps, and ropes. You will communicate with dispatch and customers to optimize service and add business opportunities.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with double/triple, hazmat, and tank endorsements.
• Minimum one year driving experience or completion of a FedEx Driver Development Course.
• Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) and DOT compliance.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, perform basic math, and follow instructions.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable.
• Perform daily pre-trip and safety inspections of equipment.
• Hook/unhook trailers and handle freight using motorized and manual equipment.
• Secure freight inside trailers with pallets, straps, and ropes.
• Verify documentation, comply with hazardous material regulations, and process freight charges.
• Follow dispatch instructions, communicate delays or issues, and interact with customers to determine needs and solicit additional business.
• May perform tire chaining, road driving, or dock duties as necessary.
• Adhere to all safety laws, regulations, and company policies.
