Qualifications

• Valid Class B CDL with hazardous materials and tank endorsements.
• Minimum one year of recent experience operating similar vehicles or completion of FedEx Driver Development Course.
• Must be 21+ years old with a clean Motor Vehicle Record.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds, read route schedules, and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate straight trucks and perform daily safety inspections.
• Ensure delivery schedules are met and provide excellent customer service, including soliciting new business.
• Secure freight with pallets, straps, and ropes; load and unload trucks.
• Communicate with dispatch regarding delays and issues.
• Complete documentation, reports, and freight charges accurately.
• Handle freight using motorized/manual equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Follow safety, hazardous materials, and legal regulations.
