Job summary

Ascension in Chattanooga is seeking a dedicated Auto Transport driver to safely transport PACE participants between homes, appointments, and the center, maintaining schedules and adapting routes as needed.

You’ll perform daily vehicle inspections, follow traffic laws, operate safety equipment and wheelchair lifts, and assist participants with care, communicating with supervisors to support daily operations.

Qualifications

• Driver's license required or date of hire.
• Chauffeur preferred.
• BLS Provider preferred. AHA or red cross accepted.
• Heart Saver AED preferred. AHA or red cross accepted.

Responsibilities

• Safe & Timely Transport: Maintain strict schedules while safely transporting PACE participants to and from homes, appointments, and the center, adapting routes as needed.
• Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance: Conduct daily vehicle inspections, adhere to traffic laws, and operate safety equipment and wheelchair lifts.
• Passenger Assistance & Support: Assist participants with care and communication with supervisors to support daily operations.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

• Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Chauffeur preferred.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Heart Saver AED preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
