Job summary

Ascension Living in Chattanooga, TN is seeking a Day, full-time Auto Transport role to transport PACE participants safely between homes and the center. You will perform daily vehicle checks, operate safety equipment, and support participants with care while adhering to schedules.

The position requires a valid driver’s license and a high school diploma or equivalent (or 1 year of related experience). Chauffeur and BLS/AED certifications are preferred, with company-provided benefits and growth

Responsibilities

• Transport PACE participants safely and timely between homes, appointments, and the center.
• Maintain vehicle inspections, follow traffic laws, operate safety equipment and lifts.
• Assist participants with care and communicate with supervisors to support daily operations.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Safe & Timely Transport: Maintained strict schedules while safely transporting PACE participants to and from homes, appointments, and the center, adapting routes as needed.
• Vehicle Maintenance & Compliance: Conducted daily vehicle inspections, adhered to traffic laws, and expertly operated safety equipment and wheelchair lifts.
• Passenger Assistance & Support: Assisted participants with care and respect while communicating effectively with supervisors to support daily operations.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• Chauffeur preferred.
• BLS Provider preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Heart Saver AED preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
