Job summary

Palmilla Senior Living in Albuquerque, NM, part of the Sonida Senior Living family, seeks a dependable driver to safely transport residents to scheduled stops and assist them in and out of vehicles. You will support activity programs and help ensure a comfortable, secure environment for residents.

Responsibilities include safe vehicle operation, assisting the Activities Director with in-house events, and maintaining a respectful, positive presence while safeguarding residents from mistreatment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license.
• CDL endorsement preferred and required where necessary.
• Ability to bend, push, pull, and lift in excess of 50 lbs as needed.

• Pick up and deliver residents to routed stops and assist in and out of vehicles.
• Operate vehicles in a safe and clean fashion.
• Assist the Activity Director with in-house activities and set-up.
• Ensure residents are free from abuse, mistreatment, and neglect; report incidents.
• Act as a positive representative of the community at all times.

Driver Responsibilities include:

• Responsible for picking up and delivering residents to the routed stops. Assists residents in and out of vehicles.
• Operates vehicles in a safe and clean fashion.
• May assist the Activity Director with in-house activities, including planning and organizing, arranging furniture, decorating, and the general setup for activity programs.
• Ensures that residents are free from abuse, mistreatment, and neglect. Reports any such instance to the Executive Director.
• Acts as a positive representative of the community at all times.

• Ability to bend, push, pull, and ER in excess of 50lbs, as necessary to perform required tasks as assigned throughout the workday
