Job summary

The Hampton Inn & Suites Lake Placid, managed by Essex Hotel Management, is seeking a DRIVEN Engineer to ensure the smooth operation of all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the hotel. The role requires keeping systems well-maintained and compliant with safety standards and involves coordinating with contractors for larger projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the hotel.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on all systems as needed.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with the systems.
• Coordinate with outside contractors for larger repairs or installations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs performed.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards.
• Respond promptly to emergency situations.
• Assist with other maintenance tasks as needed.
