Job summary

Ford Motor Company, Under Body Systems Engineering, seeks an Automotive Driveline / Propulsion System Engineer to develop, integrate, and validate driveline systems for ICE, hybrid, and EV powertrains. You will work with ICE powertrain, manual transmission, and EV teams to ensure performance and reliability across the vehicle.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in automotive system engineering, strong knowledge of driveline mechanics, and proven collaboration with suppliers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Software or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of professional automotive system engineering experience.
• Experience with ICE, hybrid, and EV driveline/powertrain applications.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Integrate driveline systems into ICE, hybrid, and EV architectures.
• Lead development, integration, validation, and launch support of driveline components and electrified drive units.
• Provide technical driveline system support across vehicle development phases.
• Align with System DFMEA and Manufacturing PFMEA activities.
• Collaborate with suppliers, Vehicle Engineering, Controls, and Program teams.
• Manage supplier technical reviews, sourcing support, and design reviews.
• Track and resolve driveline performance, durability, and quality issues.
• Support testing at bench, dyno, and vehicle levels; assist launches and issue resolution.
