Valley Wide Cooperative is seeking a Retail Barista in Jerome, ID to provide friendly customer service while preparing beverages and light food items. You will maintain a clean workspace, assist with drive-thru orders, and handle payments accurately.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, prior customer service experience, and a willingness to obtain safe food handling certification. A strong team player attitude is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must be willing to become certified in safe food handling upon hire.
• Acknowledge all customers, employees, and vendors in a friendly and appropriate manner.
• Ability to multitask and determine order of need and task priority based on level of importance.
• Ability to communicate using proper telephone etiquette with customers, other employees, and vendors.
• Must have a strong team player focus in all interactions.
• Ability to properly handle money, give change and record multiple transactions efficiently and accurately.
• Must exhibit a professional and positive image.

Responsibilities

• Acknowledge all customers, employees, and vendors.
• Assist customers with drive-thru orders.
• Prepare and serve hot or cold beverages, such as coffee, espresso drinks, or teas.
• Prepare and serve menu items, such as pizzas and salads.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, clean or sanitize work areas, utensils or equipment.
• Check temperatures of equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Order, receive, or stock supplies or products.
• Wrap, label, and date food items for sale.
• Receive and process customer payments.
