Job summary

Sonic drive-in in Sachse, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead daily operations and supervise team members during assigned shifts. This nonexempt role requires hands-on leadership to deliver great guest experiences, train staff, and uphold company standards.

Responsibilities include opening/closing duties, staffing, inventory control, enforcing safety and labor laws, and resolving guest and employee issues while maintaining smooth shift operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience or one year in retail management.
• Experience running a restaurant shift without supervision.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local labor and employment laws (e.g., wage and hour laws).
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in food service.

Responsibilities

• Train, manage, direct, coach, lead, and assign drive-in employees during shift.
• Lead and manage drive-in operations during shift to provide an optimal guest experience.
• Manage staffing levels during shift.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Handle guest issues during shift and resolve concerns.
• Handle employee issues during shift and resolve conflicts.
• Monitor inventory, labor, and costs to maximize efficiency and quality.
• Assist with record-keeping and compliance with standards.
• Perform all station duties as needed during shift.
• Maintain regular attendance.
