Job summary

Fuss & O'Neill seeks a seasoned Drinking Water Project Manager to lead complex municipal and industrial water infrastructure projects. You will plan, evaluate, and design drinking water systems, addressing PFAS and emerging contaminants while ensuring regulatory compliance and project success.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with clients and regulators, and contribute to business development. The role offers hybrid in-office and remote work with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• 8+ years of progressive experience in drinking water system planning, design, and infrastructure projects.
• Strong expertise in water distribution hydraulics and modeling tools (WaterGEMS, InfoWater, EPANET).
• Experience with PFAS treatment technologies and evolving regulatory frameworks is desirable.
• Knowledge of water treatment processes including filtration, disinfection, and advanced treatment systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with quality, on time, and within budget.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and GIS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full lifecycle of drinking water projects including distribution, storage, boosters, and treatment plants.
• Oversee design for water storage infrastructure including elevated tanks and reservoirs.
• Evaluate and design PFAS treatment solutions using GAC, ion exchange, and membranes.
• Conduct hydraulic modeling, capacity analyses, and master planning.
• Prepare technical reports, plans, specs, and client deliverables.
• Coordinate with regulators and support permitting efforts; engage stakeholders.
• Provide field support during construction, submittals, RFIs, and commissioning.
• Mentor junior staff and develop internal technical capabilities.
