Job summary

Fuss & O'Neill, Inc. is hiring an Engineering Project Manager for Drinking Water in Providence, RI. The role leads complex water infrastructure projects, focusing on potable water systems, storage, and PFAS treatment, with hybrid on-site/remote work options.

The ideal candidate has a PE license, 8+ years in drinking water projects, and strong expertise in hydraulics, modeling tools, and regulatory compliance. You will mentor staff and engage with clients and regulators.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in civil, environmental, or related engineering discipline.
Professional Engineer (PE) license required, or ability to obtain within 6 months.
8+ years of progressive experience in drinking water system planning, design, and infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the full lifecycle of drinking water projects, including distribution systems, storage facilities, pumping, and treatment plants.
Oversee planning and design for water storage infrastructure, elevated tanks and reservoirs.
Evaluate and design PFAS treatment and other emerging contaminants using methods like GAC, ion exchange, membranes.
Conduct hydraulic modeling, system capacity analyses, master planning, and service line programs.
Prepare and present technical reports, plans, specs, cost estimates, and client deliverables.
Coordinate with regulatory agencies and support permitting efforts; engage with stakeholders.
Provide construction-phase support and mentor junior staff.
