Job summary

The Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) in Augusta, Maine, seeks a Drinking Water Rules Administrator to oversee the Rules Unit within the Maine CDC Drinking Water Program. This role supervises eight Rule Specialists to ensure safe, compliant drinking water regulation and program delivery.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) year combination of education and/or experience in environmental science or related area including at least two (2) years of supervisory or program management/administration experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Rules Unit and ensure accurate, timely compliance determinations by Rule Specialists.
• Provide training, performance criteria, and quality control to maintain consistency and accountability.
• Develop and revise policies and SOPs and coordinate with EPA and other DWP staff.
