Job summary

Key duties include creating well designs and procedures, planning daily activities, researching offset wells, and coordinating with the asset team. A strong team player with technical judgment is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering from accredited college/university.
• 2+ years’ drilling engineer experience with an independent or major oil company in horizontal basins.
• Clean pre-employment background and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute safe drilling plans with cost efficiency in mind.
• Generate well designs and procedures with time and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with drilling team for daily planning and safe operations.
• Research offset wells, evaluate new ideas and drilling techniques.
• Coordinate with asset teams and maintain a safety-focused environment.
• Manage fluctuating workloads tied to rig activity goals.
• Communicate clearly, treat all staff respectfully, promote safety and inclusion.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
