Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator/Driller Trainee. You will operate backhoes, skid steers, excavators or loaders and learn drilling and blasting under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy construction equipment is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with own transportation.
• Experience as construction laborer is helpful.
• Must be safety-minded and able to work in varying weather.
• Mechanical aptitude with equipment, motors, hydraulics or electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily maintenance activities for safe operation of equipment.
• Learn drill patterns and execute drill layout as directed by supervisors.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures.
• Complete drill reports, hole sheets, and timesheets accurately.
• Coordinate supplies with the Blaster/Foreman and carry tools.
