Job summary

Florida Canyon Mining, Inc. is seeking a Mobile Maintenance Drill & Shovel Supervisor to oversee the safe and effective maintenance of drills and shovels at the mine site.

The role reports to the Mobile Maintenance General Supervisor and requires leadership of a maintenance team on surface equipment. Responsibilities include tracking maintenance, safety performance, and coordinating daily work plans to maximize equipment availability while adhering to MSHA and environmental policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Minimum of five years’ leadership experience is required.
• Five years’ experience with mobile equipment maintenance systems in a mining environment is required.
• Experience with Hitachi 3600 shovel, Epiroc drills, Cat Drills is preferred.
• Willingness to cross train in maintenance planning is required.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills are required.
• Must work independently with minimal supervision and have a strong safety record.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safe, healthy and clean work environment by upholding safety values.
• Track maintenance on a fleet of surface mining equipment.
• Perform performance evaluations and monitor safety hours for direct reports.
• Promote safe work environment and support safety initiatives.
• Provide support to operations as required.
• Ensure maintenance activities (PMs, breakdowns, work orders) are completed safely and efficiently.
• Plan, coordinate and execute daily work assignments for optimum equipment availability.
• Ensure compliance with MSHA and environmental policies.
• Collaborate with operations to schedule maintenance activities.
• Other duties as assigned.
