Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. in Valmy, NV seeks a Drill and Shovel Mechanic to repair and maintain loading and drilling equipment, monitor performance, and coordinate with the maintenance team for safe, continuous operation around the clock.

You will perform preventative maintenance on Hitachi EX5500 shovels, P&H 4100 XPC, Komatsu PC 7000, and other drills, troubleshoot failures, order parts, and participate in field level risk assessments while upholding environmental policies.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on loading and drilling equipment on a scheduled basis.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment malfunctions using manuals and schematics.
• Coordinate repairs with maintenance supervisor and order parts as needed.
• Read and interpret maintenance schematics and manuals; ensure safety standards are followed.
• Implement continuous improvement of maintenance strategies to maximize equipment availability.
• Perform field level risk assessments and uphold environmental policies.
