Job summary

The Walsh Group, Archer Wright JV, is seeking a Drill Operator in Asheville, NC to operate drilling equipment at the TSENC/I-26 Downtown Connector project. The role requires operating a drilling machine to bore rock and other materials and may include supporting surrounding site tasks.

Qualifications

3-5 years of operating experience preferred.
Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
Must lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
Adheres to all safety policies and procedures; communicates effectively with teammates.
Demonstrates a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
Good manual dexterity; may be standing, bending, kneeling or sitting for long periods.
Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.

Responsibilities

Operates a drilling machine to bore rock and other materials; handles portable air compressor as needed.
Follows loading/unloading procedures for materials.
Performs routine maintenance checks and completes required paperwork.
May experience vibration and loud noise during operation.
Performs other related duties as required.
