Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc in New York is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator with vertical and/or horizontal drilling experience to join our on-site team. A strong mechanical aptitude and a commitment to safety are essential.

This full-time role offers pay between $24 and $30 per hour DOE, plus a travel stipend. Training opportunities include Driller I & II certifications and advancement from within.

Qualifications

Must have 5+ years hydraulic equipment operating experience.
Valid Driver's License with own transportation.
One year experience in the construction industry.
Experience as a construction laborer.
Must be able to pass ATF screenings.

Responsibilities

Safely perform drilling per job program to achieve production.
Follow Safety Policies and perform daily maintenance on equipment including Epiroc drills.
Understand drill patterns and layouts as established by the Blaster Foreman.
Maximize usage of all drill supplies.
Inventory accessories and manage costs.
Communicate problems and terrain conditions to the Blasting Supervisor.
Complete field reports, hole sheets, and signed timecards.
Participate in Foreman/safety/job specific meetings; work unsupervised safely.
Complete Driller I and II training certifications.
Other duties as assigned.
