Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc is seeking an experienced heavy equipment operator with vertical and/or horizontal drilling experience. A strong mechanical aptitude and commitment to safety are required to join our growing, employee-owned team in Vermont.

Pay starts at $24-30 per hour DOE, plus a daily travel stipend. We provide industry-leading learning and development opportunities and a path for advancement from within.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hydraulic equipment operating experience.
• Experience with Epiroc top hammer drills or similar.
• Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
• High mechanical aptitude and understanding of equipment.
• Must be able to pass ATF screenings.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform drilling activity per job program to meet production.
• Follow Safety Policies and Procedures.
• Perform daily maintenance on assigned equipment.
• Execute drill patterns as established by the Blaster Foreman.
• Maximize usage of drill supplies and maintain inventory.
• Complete drill reports, hole sheets and timecards accurately.
• Participate in safety and job-specific meetings.
• Work unsupervised while maintaining safety and efficiency.
• Complete Driller I and II training certifications.
