Job summary

CorroHealth, Inc. in Indianapolis seeks a DRG Appeals Specialist to review inpatient DRG denials, validate coding and medical necessity, and prepare timely appeal responses for hospital partners.

You will use advanced analytics and coding guidelines to support revenue integrity and compliance. Ideal candidates hold an active RN license with DRG validation experience, and preferred coding certifications (AHIMA or AAPC).

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing
• CCS, RHIT, CPC are a plus
• CDIP or CCDS is highly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years in inpatient coding-related roles

Responsibilities

• Review inpatient medical records to validate MS/APR DRGs for Medicare, Commercial, and Third-Party claims
• Prepare professional appeal letters with clinical evidence and strong writing
• Abstract denial audit findings into the proprietary system per procedures
• Maintain subject matter expertise in ICD-10-CM/PCS, POA indications, and DRG methodologies
• Attend continuing education workshops for coding integrity and compliance
• Collaborate with hospital partners to ensure timely, accurate DRG appeals
